Remnants of war kill a tractor driver and completely destroy a tractor

On 9th May 2023, at Sampov Laun District, Battambang province there was an anti tank landmine accident as the remnants of war killed a tractor driver and completely destroyed a tractor while ploughing for cassava farming. This area was used as farm since 1998 during peace reconciliation and integration (more than 25 years). This is one of a number of incidents on former battlefields and it’s remind mine action sector management team to review technical and policy applications to secure safety of people in those areas.!​ Let me taking this sad news to express my sympathy and condolence to the family lost their love one,​ and wish his soul rests in the secret peace.
