Minister Vanndy Urges Lesso to Develop Cambodia Facility as ASEAN Hub

H.E. Hem Vanndy, Minister of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation, visited Lesso’s pipe factory in Kandal’s Ang Snoul district on November 21, 2024, and urged the company to develop its Cambodia operations into a strategic hub for exports to ASEAN countries where Lesso currently has no production base.

During a meeting with Lesso’s management team, Minister Vanndy praised the company for its rapid progress since beginning operations in Cambodia in November 2022. The facility, built on an 8-hectare site, employs 168 staff—most of whom are Cambodian—and operates over 50 sets of advanced production equipment to produce various pipe products and components, with a total production capacity exceeding 48,000 tons annually.​
