Ambassador of Japan visiting to WFP Cambodia’s Project in Kampong Thom

Kampong Thom: On 26 January, 2021, H.E.Mr. MIKAMI Masahiro, Ambassador of Japan, visited two projects’ site of WFP Cambodia in Kampong Thom Province.

In the morning, he visited the Chimeak Primary School to see the School Meal Programme. In this programme, Japanese Government provided fish cans and WFP used them as fish soup. It was very impressed to see a lot of children’s smile when they eat their meal.

In the afternoon, ambassador visited the construction site of Safe Evacuation Center (SEC) in Wat Khsash Chirous under Grant Aid from the Government of Japan. This SEC will serve as a safe place for people affected by disasters such as flood and drought to reside when disaster hits.

We hope that these projects will reduce the poverty and saving and changing lives in Cambodia. by Embassy of Japan in Cambodia
