COVID-19: Tally Rises To 1,264 With 39 New Infections

Phnom Penh : Cambodia’s tally of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) increased to 1264 with the detection of 39 new community cases.

According to the Ministry of Health’s press release issued this morning, the new cases aged between 14 months and 74 years old are linked to the Feb. 20 Community Event. They include 29 Cambodians, 5 Chinese, and 5 Vietnamese in Phnom Penh capital and the provinces of Kandal, Preah Sihanouk, and Prey Veng.

Meanwhile, there are four new recovered patients – 3 Chinese in Preah Sihanouk province and a Cambodian in Phnom Penh capital connected to the Feb. 20 incident. They all have been allowed to be discharged after being tested negative twice consecutively.

The total number of recovered cases in Cambodia thus rose to 623, with a death case recorded. by AKP
