Cambodia Becomes Official Host Of Asian Youth Games 2029
Phnom Penh, Cambodia has become the official host of the Asian Youth Games 2029 after the Kingdom signed for the hosting rights in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates on Nov. 21 with applause from 45 Asian countries participating in the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) General Assembly.
The good news was shared by H.E. Vath Chamroeun, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Tourism and Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia (NOCC).
“Cambodia is very proud to get the official rights to host the 5th Asian Youth Games 2029, during the OCA General Assembly in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates,” he said.
H.E. Dr. Thong Khon, Minister of Tourism and Chairman of NOCC, H.E. Khuong Sreng, Phnom Penh Municipal Governor, and Mr. Raja Randhir Singh, Acting President of OCA were the signatories.
H.E. Vath Chamroeun took the opportunity to profoundly thank the Royal Government and the people of Cambodia for their support for the sports sector as well as their contribution to the socio-development of the country.
A Cambodian sports delegation led by H.E. Thong Khon and H.E. Khuong Sreng left here for Dubai on Nov. 20.
