The Japanese Ministry of Defense and the JSDF has sent troops from the 4th Institution Division to Cambodia for about a month to conduct training for road lightweight officers. With this, on May 30th, HE Mikami Masahiro conducted the educational opening ceremony. Many Cambodian soldiers who have participated so far in the main operation, which will celebrate its 10th anniversary next year, have been dispatched to the PKO.
On May 26th, HE Mikami Masahiro received a visit from the Cambodian Ambassador to Japan in Mikami and received words of encouragement to the Inoue Self-Defense Minister who are working on preparing for education.
JMOD has dispatched 4th Engineer Brigade/JGSDF personnel to Cambodia for a month to provide a training course to road surveying instructors, and on 30 May, an opening ceremony occurred. 2023 marks 10 years of such training with many past participants then deploying to PKO.
